Its graphics and colours were first refreshed in the year 2003 and it was rechristened Passion Plus. Its graphics were again updated in the year 2008 and now black alloy wheels are standard with an all black engine.

The engine is a 97.2 cc air-cooled, 4-Stroke single-cylinder one which produces a maximum power of 5.50 KW (7.5 PS) at 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 7.5 N-m@5000 rpm. The chassis is a tubular double cradle type.

Although it is under 100 cc, but it is marketed as an executive class bike due to its styling and price.

Despite its price being higher than many 125 cc bikes offered by companies like Bajaj and TVS, and a fuel efficiency of 60-65 kmpl which is not considered great in its class, it has become a huge success due to its hassle-free engine and the Hero Honda brand name.
